Principal's Message

WOW it is March 25, 2021 and just a day before a much needed spring break!!!  Look at us.  It seems that this school year is quickly moving past us.  As it stands right now, we are one year past a first in my 20 years in education. I have NEVER experienced anything like the end of the 19-20 school year or the beginning of this year.  As we approach Spring Break and the sprint to the end of the 20-21 school year, I want to commend you and thank you for the job well done to this point.  You worked hard to help us with our A/B hybrid schedule and are currently helping us to make our 5 days per week a very strong situation for us.  I also want to thank our teachers and staff for a job well done in planning and moving mountains in a very difficult setting.  We are seeing sound growth and some great test scores with students improving across all grade levels.  I want you to know above all that we are going to take care of the students and each other to give everyone the best educational setting possible.  Keep your eyes and ears open for the constant updates, either on our Robo-calls, social media or notes home.  Also, if you have not already checked it out; go to Facebook and follow Griz Lces for news about the school.

I ask you to remember, at LCES this year, we are "Going for the GOLD" in an all out effort to be the absolute best we can be.  I ask that you continue to help us improve in all areas by reading daily with your student for 30 minutes each day.  This will help improve reading fluency and vocabulary.  Our school report card shows our student growth trending up in a mighty way.  We want to continue this trend with our hard work in 2020-2021.  Please support us with good attendance, good homework habits, and questions as we prepare for a very different and unique school year.  We are all in this together and I want the best for our students at LCES.  I hope you are "Going for the GOLD" during the 2020-2021 school year.

I want to tell you how thankful I am for each of you and all that you do to support our students and staff at LCES.  I also want to thank our staff at LCES for the hard work and dedication they show each day of the week for our students.

Again, you all are appreciated in so many ways.  Thank you for your help!
