Principal's Message

Dear Limestone-Central Students and Families,

We have successfully completed our first year together as Grizzlies! This past school year was one of learning more about each other and growing together. I know you will join me in being thankful that the past school years of COVID are hopefully behind us as we look forward to what this new school year will bring.

While last year had its share of first-time events, this year is also bringing its own set of “firsts” along with exciting opportunities that we are yet to discover. I am pleased to let you know that we have new additions to our staff this year. In First Grade we have Mrs. Haley Williams. She taught 3rd Grade last year and has found a new teaching opportunity this year. In 2nd Grade, we have Mrs. Emily McDowell. She is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina Spartanburg, and we are excited to have her as a new teacher to Limestone-Central. In 4th Grade we have Ms. Megan Hamrick who comes to us from Cherokee Charter Academy, and we are pleased to have her join our school family. We have Mr. Brandon Coggins as our new Assistant Principal. He is excited about his new role, and he is already making a difference for our students and staff. Finally, I am happy to say that we have Mrs. Jennifer Parker returning to fill the 3rd Grade vacancy left with the move of Mr. Coggins. She will join our school staff at the end of September, and we are very pleased to have her back in the Grizzly Den. We still have a few vacant position in our school, but I am hopeful that those positions will be filled very soon.

In the past 28 years, I have seen a lot of change. None of those changes, however, have been without growth as the result of the change. When we are faced with something new....a change in our lives...we have two choices. We can embrace the change and grow or we can fight the change and become stagnant and not experience growth. Education is about growth...constant growth....and growth brings about change. It is a continual cycle.

I am excited about the changes this year has already brought and those that lie ahead for us all. Limestone-Central is the best elementary school in the Cherokee County School District. Come visit us and you will see why. Our doors are always open and we welcome you to partner with us to help grow our students.

I am certain that we will have the best year yet for our school family if we work together to make it so! I need your support to help your child achieve at the highest level possible so he or she can be . We are Grizzlies…Hear us ROAR!

With love and thanksgiving for another year together,

Mrs. Bradley
